Jessica Kennett (Art 10)

Congratulations to Jessica Kennett (Art 10). Students got to choose any subject they wanted for their last painting and Jessica created a very interesting composition for her last painting... Check out this neat piece in the front display case!



Julianne Hayes (Art 20)

Check out Julianne Hayes (art 20) very impressive canvas bag design. Students were to create a logo design for any social cause as part of their graphic design unit. When you see Julianne's design on canvas, you will think that you are looking at a professionally designed logo! You will also see more of these interesting pieces of artwork in the display case just outside of the art room.

Marissa Crosswhite (Art 20)

Did you know studies show that art grows creative brains... Grow your right brain and check out the very cool pop art portrait of Marissa Crosswhite (art 20) in the front display case as she is this weeks artist of the week. Taylor Kyrzyk (Art 20)

Congratulations to Taylor Kyrzyk (art 20) on her winning design for the Time for the Cure event this coming May. See Mr. Milne if you want to take art 20 but were unable to fit art 10 into your schedule this past year!!

Ayshaw Wu (Art 10)

Jelissa Espinosa (Art 10)

Congratulations to Jelissa Espinosa (art10) on her amazing self-portrait! When you see this portrait in the front display case you may think that you are looking at a black and white photograph, but Jelissa created this using only a pencil! More portraits to come...

Amanda Franke (Art 30)

Check out Amanda Franke's (art 30) palette knife painting in the front display case. Painting with a palette knife is like painting with a butter knife, not as easy as it looks! You can see more of these very interesting compositions outside the art room soon...

Bryanna Mostat (Art 20)

If you are a fan of Johnny Depp or Pirates of the Caribbean, you may want to check this great piece of artwork out in the front display case! Sammie Schmidt (Art 10)

Melissa Zado (Art 30)

Congratulations to Melissa Zado (art 30) on her fantastic Facey-scape. Check Melissa's work out in the front display case and you can see more of these upstairs outside of the art room.


 

Craig Breckenridge (Art 30)

Congratulations to Craig Breckenridge (art 30) on his Muppet inspired masterpiece.  The painting was created using little dots of paint (pointillism) to create an interesting texture and look to the composition.  Check it out in the front display case.  You can see more of these paintings in one of the display cases outside of the art room.


 

Lisa Buchfink (Art 10)

Congratulations to Lisa Buchfink (Art 10) on her very bold painting of Venice.  After learning of the famous contemporary Canadian artist Ted Harrison, Lisa created her own version of a Harrison inspired famous Italian landscape.  Check it out in the front display case.  You can also see more of these unique pieces of art in the display case outside the art room.


 

Shannon Meere (Art 30)

Don't forget to check out the very interesting painting by Shannon Meere (Art 30) in the front display case.  Shannon created this amazing impressionist composition with a paint brush taped to the end of a metre stick....  Got your attention now?!?  Check the artwork out and the pictures of how it was created.  You can see more of these pieces of meter stick artwork outside the art room.


 

Katelyn Martens (Art 30)

Make sure you check out the latest artist of the week display just inside the main doors.  There you will see a very interesting portrait done by Katelyn Martens (Art 30).  Well done Katelyn on the interesting composition.


 

Trina Gerbrandt (Art 10)

Check out the latest artwork in the front display case created by Trina Gerbrant.  Trina created an incredible portrait done in pencil.  More portraits will be seen in the cafeteria after spring break!


 

Emma Stranks (Art 20)

Congratulations to Emma Stranks (art 20) on her stained glass painting. Emma created her masterpiece by painting on glass using the same design technique of actual stained glass. Check out Emma's piece in the front display case.  More of the art 20 projects can be seen in the display case outside of the art room!

Erin Walker (Art 10)

Check out Erin's amazing Group of Seven painting in the front display case. You can see more of these Group of Seven paintings in the display case outside of the art room.


Cam Gregoires (Art 20)

Check out Cam's incredible paper collage. Cam created his monkey masterpiece by using small pieces of coloured paper to create the entire composition. Look closely and you will see all the pieces, but stand back and you see how the colours optically mix! You will find more of these pieces upstairs outside the art room.


Melissa Schwarze (Art 30)

This week's featured artist is Melissa Schwarze.  Melissa created an incredibly realistic portrait using conte as her medium.
